Wedding dress lace loops

This method can be used on almost any dress or gown if  it is too tight.  This can happen when buying garments off the internet.  I know many people who have sent their measurements only to the find that the garment does not fit.  The misconception that these people are making a garment to your measurements is incorrect.  All they are doing is working out which size will be the closest fit and sending that.  But of course our body shapes are now perfect and therefore the bust, waist or hips may be incorrect.

Wedding dresses, gowns, dresses and all other types of clothes are easy to obtain, and if in the case of a wedding dress it comes in too small there is no recourse.  So this method of unpicking the zip at the back and replacing with loops and tie/ribbon is the best course of action to take.

One of my monthly newsletter subscribers Mary-Anne Pearce of Tasmania Australia, sent me some photos of a job she did for a client and I asked her if she would mind sharing.  I loved the method she used.  She used a ribbon laying them out evenly and pinning into place before stitching.  The effect is stunning.
