I can honestly say that I use my tweezers every time I sew. I use them to thread my needle in my standard domestic sewing machine. I started using them when I had acrylic nails. That was over 12 years ago. I have normal nails now, but still use them all the time.

When I am threading my older model machine, I use tweezers to thread the eye of the needle. It all started when I had acrylic nails put on over 12 years ago. I could not get the thread into the needle with my long nails so I started using tweezers. I have not had acrylic nails for over 5 years now, but I still use them. Habit.
The more modern machines have automatic threaders, but tweezers can also be used to pop a corner that has been bagged or grab fluff within the bobbin section. It builds up quickly when using the machine, so every week or so I grab the loose fluff with the tweezers.
In fact I have tweezers beside every machine, even the over locker. There are many different types of tweezers, but this particular one is not too long and is reasonably light in weight. The length at the end of these tweezers is just enough to help with turning corners.
