I have seen some people who have tried to hand stitch the seam closed.  Whilst that is an option for people who are really good at hand stitching, it is not really a great option for those without that skill.

In this video I show how to unpick the bottom section of the zip.  This will give access to the seam.  With all clothes alterations and repairs, it is important to start at the last stitch made and work backwards.  When the job is complete, it is easy to work forwards again to complete.
